Top 5 SUV Heavyweights with Great Space
When it comes to buying a family-hauling SUV, it usually boils down to one major factor: S P A C E. How much room do we got???
Nobody wants to play Tetris with camping gear, and nobody wants to listen to teenagers (or adults) complain about the 3rd-Row legroom for a long roadtrip.
So today, we’re going to reveal the Top 5 heavy hitters in this larger SUV class that are sitting right now on the Drivers Mart lot, ready for a test drive!
2020s Chevrolet Tahoe
As a massive, body-on-frame large SUV, the Tahoe is the undisputed king of the road trip. It boasts a staggering 179.7 cubic feet of passenger volume. That means no compromises: even adult passengers get genuine legroom in the third row.
Need to haul gear instead of people? Fold the seats flat to unlock an echoing 122.9 cubic feet of maximum cargo space.
What about Power? The Chevy Tahoes typically come standard with the sturdy 5.3L V8 engine, capable of around 355 horsepower. We also have some of the Tahoes that feature the 6.2L V8 with 420 horsepower. You should come test drive them and decide for yourself.
2020s Buick Enclave
The Enclave brings serious premium comfort to the midsize segment without being obnoxious about it. Offering 157.3 cubic feet of passenger space, this SUV prioritizes the passengers being able to spread out in a comfortably, upscale cabin. The front and middle rows feature exceptional headroom and legroom, making it the perfect highway cruiser for drivers who want a touch of luxury with their utility.
What about Power? The 2022 - 2024 Enclave models run on a smooth 3.6L V6 making 310 horsepower.
2020s Kia Telluride
There is a reason the Telluride has a massive cult following. It balances an elegant, tech-forward cabin with serious practicality, delivering 157.1 cubic feet of passenger room. The first and second rows are treated to first-class accommodations, and when it’s time to hit the hardware store, folding the seats opens up 87 cubic feet of cargo capacity.
What about Power? The Telluride is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.8L V6 engine generating 291 horsepower. It delivers effortless highway merging and solid towing capacity for a weekend toy.
2020s Hyundai Palisade
Surprise, surprise! If we mentioned the Telluride earlier then you (probably) knew the Palisade was coming next! The Hyundai Palisade shares a lot of structural DNA with the Telluride, including the same engine and transmission setup (3.8L V6 Engine), HOWEVER the design cues are different!
Aside from differing design elements, what sets it apart is the sprawling space up front, offering a massive 44.1 inches of legroom for the driver and front passenger. With 155.3 cubic feet of overall passenger volume, it’s a brilliant blend of sophisticated design and everyday family utility.
2020s Ford Expedition / Expedition Max
If you need space that rivals a small zip code, the Expedition MAX delivers. With an absolutely cavernous 171.9 cubic feet of passenger volume, it comfortably fits up to 8 passengers without anyone fighting for elbow room. The front row treats occupants to a sprawling 43.9 inches of legroom.
Note: if you opt for the upgraded Captain’s seats for the 2nd row, you will only be able to fit 7 people in there.
What about Power? Under the hood, Ford has experimented a bit here. What used to be a standard V8 engine for the Expedition has turned into a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine. Now, now, do not fret! This Turbocharged V6 engine is capable of more than 400 horsepower while offering better fuel economy than the outgoing V8s.
Well, there you have it. Our Top 5 SUV Heavyweights.
Now you be the judge; which of these large and in charge SUVs do you want for your roadtrips?

This or That: Ford Off-Road Edition!
We currently have two very different flavors of Ford off-road royalty sitting on the Drivers Mart lot. They both have BAJA racing DNA, they both wear massive All-Terrain tires, and they both command YOUR attention.
THIS: 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Edition
Named after legendary 1960s desert builder Bill Stroppe, this 2025 special edition isn’t just a nostalgic throwback. Yes, the Code Orange, Oxford White, and Atlas Blue color combo is completely unignorable, and it even features a matte black hood to cut desert sun glare. But it backs up the looks with serious hardware.
This bad boy is only available as a 2-door, outfitted with FOX-brand shocks, massive 35-inch tires, and a 2.7 L EcoBoost V6. It is short, highly maneuverable, and built for tight trails.
THAT: 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor
If the Bronco is an agile dirt bike, the Raptor is a trophy truck with heated seats. This wide-body monster packs a massive 450-horsepower 3.5L EcoBoost V6 and Fox Racing shocks the size of fire hydrants.
It is absurdly W I D E, aggressively LOUD, and designed to float over dirt roads without spilling your morning coffee. Plus, unlike the 2 door Bronco, you get a full-sized SuperCrew cab that comfortably fits adults in the 2nd Row with leg room to spare.
So…..you make the call! Which keys are you grabbing?

Did we bring the heat in this edition? |
